ACS ROSTER RULES

 effective Spring '24
ALL TEAMS MUST UPLOAD A ROSTER HERE FOR THE SEASON

  • ROSTER REVISIONS: If you need to revise your roster during the season you can re-upload a roster at any time.  Roster revisions are due prior to kickoff of any match.
  • "SHARED" PLAYERS: A "shared" player is a player who exists on more than one roster. Roster quotas are below.
    • 4v4 Teams - up to 8 players, up to 2 players shared per roster 
    • 7v7 Teams - up to 14 players, up to 4  players shared per roster 
  • DUAL ROSTERING: A player may be dual rostered to up to 2 teams at a time, and no more than 2 teams at a time. 

GAME DAY OPERATIONS & RULES

SIDELINES:  All spectators and parents will be assigned to one sideline and must remain on that sideline, inside of their own half of the field.

SIDELINES PLAYERS & COACHES:  Players and certified coaches, and club directors will be located on the "player's bench" sideline.  ONLY players, certified staff may be on this sideline.  No parents, fans, spectators, team managers, or otherwise are permitted on the "player's bench". 

REFEREE PAY:  Each team should pay the game official 15 minutes prior to kickoff.  The referee should NOT be required to ask for payment.  Team leaders should initiate the payment by thanking the referee/game official for being in attendance and paying the appropriate amount. 

PLAYING RULES

4v4 DIVISION


  • ​Size 4 Ball
  • 2x20 min halves
  • No Heading Allowed - Indirect FK 
  • Build Out Line is Halfline: Defenders Retreat for Goalkicks.
  • Goals should be scored inside the attacking half.
  • No Slide Tackling (for clarification sliding without tackling or interfering with an opponent is permitted). 
  • Throw-In Second Chance Rule: A player who has not executed a correct throw-in will be given a second opportunity.  The referee can allow play to continue on the second chance throw-in even if the violation is repeated. 
  • No Offside will be called. 

7v7 DIVISION


  • Size 4 Ball
  • 2x20 min halves
  • No Heading Allowed - Indirect FK 
  • Build Out Line:  Located at the attacking 1/3, Defenders Retreat to this line on Goalkicks & Free Kicks within the Defending 1/3.
  • No punting for goalkeepers.  All restarts from a goalkeeper should be by hand, rolled or thrown.
  • No Slide Tackling (for clarification sliding without tackling or interfering with an opponent is permitted).
  • Offside is in effect at using the "build out line" as the point of offside infringement.  Players are not allowed in OBVIOUS OFFSIDE positions.
